Charming Stay with Room for Improvement

The classic decor impressed us, but we missed basic amenities like coffee and an iron. Breakfast was simple, but we loved exploring the nearby attractions. Tip, check for room views to ensure natural light.

Excellent location and quiet

The bath had a jacuzzi button which spewed dirt into the water when it was presse. Some of the staff were less attentive to their guests than they should have been

Good service offered, well-appointed room with big windows, a nice view plus a comfy bed. Plentiful and fine breakfast with a lot of delicacies and very welcoming staff. Magnificent and unbeatable location, minutes from Wax Museum Barcelona.

perfect base for exploring landmarks and park strolls

I stayed here recently, and the room was comfortably spacious with a really nice rain shower, making it a pleasant retreat after a day of exploring, while being just a short stroll from the beautiful Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar and the vibrant Mercado de La Boqueria.

Breakfast buffet was amazing. Great variety & choice of freshly-made food. Waitresses did a really good job of tidying up & collecting waste.

Cups could have been bigger for tea.

the location is great but the square in front of the hotel is full of homeless . The rooms were very clean and cleaned well every day. As opposed to some reviews I found the staff at the reception quite friendly and helpful. Some less so than others.

I requested that my Tv be fixed to allow CNN to be shown from day 1. On day 5 still not done and I asked everyday.. Perhaps they could not do that but they could leave amessage accordingly. I thought the price was a little on the high side for the value.

We had a really enjoyable stay with a lovely breakfast variety and a well-decorated room that felt quite spacious. The hotel's unique historical charm really stood out! Would definitely return!

Great position, friendly and helpful staff.

There was a constant stale smell in the (3rd floor) lift foyer. Would also have liked more variety at breakfast (especially cheeses. (Where is question 1 of this questionnaire?)

The location of the hotel is good. Sea, port, Ramblas, supermarkets, restaurants, subway .. everything within walking distance. Due to the central location, the noise at night was not insignificant (room to the square), but the windows close great and you can hear nothing more. Since there is an adjustable climate, you can live so well! The rooms are big enough, bathroom as well - everything was spotless! Very comfortable, wide bed! Curtains darken completely. Safe, mini fridge, enough storage space .. The breakfast was really good, with a lot of choice and things of good quality! Nothing is served, pure self-service.

The lift is extremely slow. The room doors close very, very loudly - at night this is really disturbing. At check-in the credit card had to be given twice, 1x for payment in advance, but additionally as security - very unusual!

Great location, comfy stay

Loved the spot-right near all the cool attractions! Our room was pretty clean and had a nice vibe. The staff were really friendly. We enjoyed having breakfast in our room, a nice touch. Just a heads up, the air con was a bit weak during the heat. A solid stay!

It is not fair for 4 star Hotel :1)Safe box charging for 2 euro per night 2)Refrigerator was locked! 3)No Mnibar in Refrigerator! 4)No Bellboy! 5)There was no Tea & coffee service in room 6)There was no breakfast and ice service for room

The fact that the frontdesk was willing to give us another room when we complained about our first room and the fact that the hotel was pretty close to the Rambla

The smell in the lobby; it was awfull! And I have slightly the idea that the rooms are pretty overpriced for the space you get.

Nice location near La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. Our room lacked natural light with a view onto a landing. The bathrooms are spacious and the staff is really helpful, eager to assist with anything.

Adjoining Square made the stay special.Also, proximity to local restaurants and the old Gothic section of Barcelona was welcome.

Air conditioning in first room didn´t work. Was moved to a noisy, handicap room next to the street with two double beds instead of what was asked for. The desk staff was rude and not helpful at all. Overall a bad experience for the price. Never stay here.
